Anti-miscegenation laws were deemed unconstitutional in 1967 by the Supreme Court, but some still do not agree with interracial marriages. A white male had so much hatred toward black men and white women being together, that he began to stalk them. This predator found victims that fit his criteria and made plans to attack them. His plan was to murder several black men. He believed that mixed-race couples were an insurmountable problem. He felt that this was the main problem with our society and that it needed to be eliminated. He killed a 66 year old black male. If this man had not been caught for his heinous crime, he would have continued his killings and "went for something bigger." It is terrifying to think that in this day and age people who are racist still exist and would be willing to kill another human being because of it. Although laws on equality exist, we cannot stop individuals from having their own beliefs, even if we do not agree. Many individuals will work to unite all people of different races and ethnicities to come together, but there will always be "those few" that are unable to think rationally, resulting in corrupting society with their hatred.
